When you love to cook, but tend to eat the same things over and over, inspiration is necessary. Cooking shows are awesome, but most tend not to cook the way I eat. (Why can’t there be a vegetable forward cooking show?!)
Here is a list of some of my favorite places to go when I need some food porn.
Allrecipes– A great catch all resource no matter how you eat. Type in what you want and see what you get. You can even type in a few ingredients to see what suggestions are provided.
Oh She Glows– This was one of the first vegan blogs that I began to follow years ago. It’s still one of the first places I look.
Thug Kitchen– If you don’t like swearing, I’d avoid this page (and maybe us). But the recipes are worth it.
Forks Over Knives– After creating the documentary, a movement was created part of which is this amazing website.
Minimalist Baker– After searching for a few different recipes this option kept coming up in my results, so it was added to my list as a trusted resource.
The Stingy Vegan– Who said eating vegetables must be expensive? Here are some great recipes for the budget conscious consumer.
Good old Google (or Search Engine of your choice)- Type in “how do I cook….” and you’ll get plenty of suggestions. This is what I did when I received kohlrabi in a CSA box. I don’t remember how I cooked it, but I do know that I enjoyed it. After my trip to Morocco, it was great to learn how to make my favorite dish from there- Gazelle Horns.
And of course, we have some recipes up as well. Our Cashew Cheese is our favorite for its versatility.
